Designing a Greek challenger bank in a challenging financial landscape
Length: 6 Months
Role: Senior Product Designer (UX/UI)
Skills: UI design, User testing, Interaction design, Branding, Style guide, User flow, Wireframing, Prototyping and Information architecture
The Brief
Praxiabank were an incredibly ambitious client, with their primary goal being to create a brand new omni-channel banking service that would challenge the current entities that for years have been firmly positioned in the Greek financial landscape. They wanted to stand out from the crowd and not just be your average bank. Their business proposition focused on both Retail and SME banking offerings, with each of these user groups having completely different relationships with banks, along with contrasting expectations and needs/requests.
The Process
Over the course of 6 months we worked closely with key stakeholders to catalogue and prioritise the core features and functionalities they would need to engage a diverse audience from savers to high-net worth and SME customers.
This enabled us able to drive out and articulate a flexible set of ‘Jobs To Be Done’ work packages that were then broken down into Agile sprints and used to design a holistic, highly differentiated digital experience across multiple customer touch points – and position the bank for future success.
The Dashboard
The client wanted the website to have app style functionality, allowing all actions and journeys to be performed via both the side navigation bar and the cards. Giving the user the ability to start any journey from one click, making everything closer and easier to access.
The Outcome
Designed a brand new Greek challenger banking service and platform
Developed all-new brand architecture and visual identity for the bank in less than 8 weeks
